Pakistan and Korea agree to collaborate for provision of job opportunities to returnee Pakistani workers
The Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Pir Syed Saddaruddin Shah Rashidi said that the government of Pakistan gives top priority to provide all possible services to our migrant workers and Pakistani community living in different parts of the world.
The Federal Minister expressed these views while talking to Mr. Mr. Seo Jeong Jae, Director General, Embassy of Korea, who called on the Federal Minister at his office on Thursday. The Federal Minister directed the OPF to hold consultation with the Korean Embassy officials to collaborate in providing jobs to returnee workers from Korea and other countries.
It was discussed in the meeting that the government of Korea will continue receiving trained labor forces from Pakistan to work in different industries in Korea. Mr. Seo appreciated the government of Pakistan for being a long standing partner with Korea in the economic development of Korea. He informed the Federal Minister that the government of Korea is ready to provide jobs to returnee workers from Korea. He said that many Korean companies working in Pakistan will be contacted to accommodate the returnee workers in those companies. The Director General, Korean Embassy invited the Federal Minister for visit of Korea which was accepted by the Federal Minister.
The Managing Director, Overseas Pakistanis Foundation, Habib ur Rehman Gilani said that the OPF is about to launch a project for reintegration of returnee workers in Pakistan. He informed that the OPF will assist workers in finding jobs in Pakistan.
The Federal Minster informed that Pakistan has sufficient skilled and trained manpower to be exported to Korea. He asked the Korean government to implement its quota for import of Pakistani workers. He also thanked the Director General, Embassy of Korea, Mr. Seo for relying on Pakistani labor to work in Korea.
